As usual, do not hesitate to contact the team at <strong>cfp@devoxx.fr<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Speaker&rsquo;s dinner<\/strong><br>On March 28th you received an email to validate your venue at the traditional DEVOXX France Speakers&rsquo; Dinner. This event will be held on the first floor of the Palais des Congr\u00e8s in Paris, on Wednesday, April 17th :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>7:30 pm: Meeting point at the main entrance of DEVOXX located on the ground floor of the Palais des Congr\u00e8s<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>7:40 to 10:30 pm: cocktail.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Your (short) todo list :<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Check that your abstract is published on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.devoxx.fr\/en\/schedule\/\">program web site<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/mobile.devoxx.com\/events\/devoxxfr2024\/schedule\">mobile version<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; As shared by email on Mars 10th you can use the Devoxx template from <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/quantixx\/template-presentation\">our new Github template project<\/a> (if you want)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; If required, bring an HDMI adapter for your computer. We provide templates for Powerpoint and Keynote for Mac. If you find a glitch in the template, please send us a pull-request. You don&rsquo;t have to use our templates, but if you do, it&rsquo;s cool. Yes, it&rsquo;s cool.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Badge pickup<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Upon your arrival at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.fr\/maps\/place\/Le+Palais+des+Congr%C3%A8s+de+Paris\/@48.8794528,2.2815235,17z\/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x47e66f8b41cac529:0x3c64b279efb84cbe\">Palais des Congres<\/a>, Porte Maillot, pick up your badge at the Speaker&rsquo;s welcome desk. You should receive the Ticket by email few days before the event. This email contains your Ticket, please show the QRCode upon your arrival so that we can print and prepare your speakers&rsquo;s badge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Organizing a BOF on Thursday evening? If you don&rsquo;t have tickets as a participant or speaker for another type of session, you must register at <a href=\"https:\/\/alfio.devoxx.fr\/event\/devoxx-fr-2024\">https:\/\/alfio.devoxx.fr\/event\/devoxx-fr-2024<\/a> by selecting Thursday as a visitor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Can I talk on Thursday at 11:00 am in room 241 ?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Well, no \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We need to schedule 250 talks and arrange the agenda so that we have at least one or two talks in English per hour. Devoxx France&rsquo;s presentations are 25% in English \/ 75% in French. We also build an agenda with well-distributed topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Be familiar with where your session is located (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.devoxx.fr\/en\/accueil\/plans-de-devoxx-france\/\">floor plan here<\/a>). We also recommend that you double-check the exact room directly on the Devoxx France website 48 hours before your talk. Depending on the expected audience, we might switch your talk from one room to another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please arrive at your session room <strong>15 minutes before the session starts<\/strong> to ensure the equipment is ready and working properly. Do not forget to bring your HDMI video adaptor. <strong>We have connectors for HDMI only<\/strong>\u2014no DVI, mini-port display, USB-C,<strong> or other.<\/strong> A Red Coat, one of the volunteers, will help you during the set-up and for the Q&amp;A session (if you need one).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sessions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speakers are, of course, responsible for providing their own laptops for presentations. Links for templates are provided above. Please respect the 16\/9 ratio for video display and optimal results.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We record every talk except Hands-on Lab and BOF. We will publish your video on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCsVPQfo5RZErDL41LoWvk0A\">Devoxx France YouTube channel<\/a> shortly after the conference.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Duration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The total duration of your talk includes Q&amp;A.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Deep Dive: 3 hours, feel free to organize short 10mn breaks (1 or 2) during the session.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hands-on Lab: 2 hours in the morning and 3h in the afternoon. At the end of your talk, if you want to do a Q&amp;A session: do repeat questions from the audience so that we can record it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the end of your talk, the audience will come and ask you questions. Please, be a super speaker and leave the room for the next session so that nobody dies under stress before the end of the conference.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Speaker room and amenities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a speaker, you have access to a speaker room, which is a quiet place to prepare your session. It\u2019s located in the Neuilly Mezzanine on the second floor. Just ask a red coat to guide you (and open the door if needed).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Issues in your room, technical issues, emergencies<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Should you have any questions or technical difficulties, please contact the \u00ab\u00a0polo rouge\u00a0\u00bb or red-coat in your room.
